I was like off my chair as Shaitan hit the friday box office being a rare specie in B-town. Keeping up with the fond memories of Dev D's good work of Anu"Raag" Kash"Yupp", well almost I had to break off the monotony of life and rushed to the theatre to see what wonders could he do to the film, and that too when the prop was his own wife in Bikini. The movie does take you in for a bit and hits your door right to a flashback of your Faccha days. Totally building on the freedom to let yourself down on the road even at the 3 am. Nonetheless, the gang looks great, acts well, drinks well and Kalki tries all the luck to seek attention. The girl manages to still look pretty with no hint where her life is, till she find herslf rich friends. Uncertainty of what's gonna be the next scene can definitely keep you in the matter blocked to your seat. The first half has a kick to it and would really gel well with you if you sip your pepsi like kingfisher. The music is best (mera dum nikla humdum nikla) at the background and if you love it, you are enjoying it anyways. The way it's shot is young. It's nothng of the regular cinema. The reworked versions of Khoya Khoya chand gives you a little ground to enjoy violent scenes of the later half with ease. The film is a rush hour where things happen constantly one on one, sometyms without a reason. Only if you have a craze of coming out of a regular movie, this is recommended.
Take it: Don't expect anythng off ground from the film. Shaitan- I guess the title name gone wrong. There is a bigger devil/shaitan in any one of us than what Kash"Yupp" imagined. A little more "let loose" characters and not just a speedy road rage being termed "Shaitan" could have let a better end to shiver our brain.
Watch it for Khandelval, Kalki and for what you never thought it could be.
